<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the continuity of a long-term defogging effect has not been expected in a device for defogging a mirror by warm water since the warm water flows down only on the rear surface of the mirror thereby to obtain no water-retaining and heat-storage effect. <P>SOLUTION: A non-woven cloth, etc., rich in water absorbability and quick-drying property is allowed to adhere on the substantially whole surface of the rear surface of the mirror. The warm water penetrates even into portions under metal mirror fittings by introduction to the non-woven cloth, etc., on the rear surface of the mirror by a current plate, thereby solving the problem on a countermeasure for defogging on the front surface of the mirror by warming the front surface and on the continuity of a defogging effective time. Besides, when the mirror is broken due to an unexpected accident, etc., the non-woven cloth, etc., adhering on the whole rear side surface of the mirror with the use of a waterproof double-sided adhesive tape, etc., prevents the pieces of glass from scattering.
