<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dry-up in a solid polymer electrolyte fuel cell in which fuel gas and oxidant gas are formed in counterflow configurations. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 100 includes a cathode side catalyst layer 14 being formed such that the weight of a catalyst per unit area of a first region (region Ra; high catalyst density catalyst layer 14a) on an upstream side in a flow direction of the oxide gas is to be larger than that of the catalyst per unit area in a second region (region Rb; low catalyst density catalyst layer 14b) other than the first region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
