<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal device that has structure capable of promoting cooling, and a dryer in which the removal device is incorporated. <P>SOLUTION: The removal device which removes lint from drying air that is circulated in a main housing of a dryer for drying clothing comprises: a housing that is formed removably from a main housing; a lid body that blocks a take-out port formed in the main housing for taking out the housing; and a filter element that is attached to the housing and removes the lint. The lid body is connected to the housing.
