<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photonic crystal for detecting light with high sensitivity by preventing occurrence of a back ground noise. <P>SOLUTION: In the photonic crystal 1, a periodic structure is formed with high refraction-factor parts 4, and low refraction-factor parts 5 composed of a medium having a refraction-factor lower than the high refraction-factor parts 4. The high refraction-factor parts 4 comprises a low background light emitting material having a refraction-factor higher than that of silicon dioxide, and containing a pure material having an absorption end of an absorption spectrum of light at a shorter wavelength side than 330 nm or a compound partially containing the pure material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
