<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply for a high frequency transmitter having enhanced efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The switching power supply which performs envelope tracking driving of a transmission amplifier based on the waveform of an input signal comprises a transformer receiving an input signal on the primary, and a switching section being connected to the secondary of the transformer. The switching section includes an FET having a gate and a source being connected to the secondary of the transformer, a Schottky diode having a cathode being connected to the gate, a Zener diode connected in series with the Schottky diode with reverse polarity and having a cathode being connected with the source, and a capacitor being connected in parallel with the Zener diode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
