<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic photoelectric conversion element having high photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing an organic photoelectric conversion element having a pair of electrodes, and an active layer containing a polymer compound between the pair of electrodes, where the polymer compound has a structural unit represented by formula (1)(In the formula, Ar<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and Ar<SP POS="POST">2</SP>are identical or different, and represent a trivalent aromatic group.
