<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of allowing a user to observe an accurate stereoscopic image without limiting the distance or the position of the user to a screen. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: a display part 36 for displaying an image by alternately arraying a right eye image and a left eye image in the left and right direction and a drive part 35 therefor; a parallax barrier part 37 which is provided on the display part 36 and for displaying a barrier for regulating the direction in which the image displayed on the display part 36 can be observed, and a drive part 38 therefor; a distance measurement part 24 for measuring a distance to eyes of a user who observes the display part 36; a user photographing part 23 and an image processing part 34 (a face recognizing part 34a) for detecting positions of the eyes of the user who observes the display part 36; and a CPU 41 for changeably setting a display position of the barrier in the parallax barrier part 37 based on the distance acquired in the distance measurement part 24 and each position of the eyes acquired in the user photographing part 23 and the image processing part 34 (the face recognizing part 34a). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
