<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a lens element (2) of optics, particularly for producing a lens element (2) of a headlight for a vehicle headlight, particularly for a motor vehicle headlight (1), wherein a blank (136) made of a transparent plastic is shaped in injection molding tools (131, 132) by means of an injection molding method, and the blank (136) is subsequently pressed into the lens element (2) by means of final shape molds (140, 141, 142), particularly in a polished manner. <P>SOLUTION: The blank may be cooled after removing from an injection-pressing mold and heated again.
