The switch (5) has a display screen (25) i.e. LCD display, moved around a pivot axis (S) relative to a switch housing (10) by pivoting or translational displacement. The screen is moved to a rest position in which the screen includes an outer control element (30) i.e. input key, where the screen is locked or sealed in the rest position. The screen is inserted into a housing slot of the housing, and includes two pivotal axes enabling a folding-up of the screen. The screen is pivotally mounted such that an active display side of the screen faces toward the housing in the rest position.
