<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation shutdown method of a fuel cell system which minimizes deterioration of a fuel cell due to gas replacement on the anode side after shutdown. <P>SOLUTION: The operation shutdown method includes a normal power generation step for making a fuel cell 20 generate power while supplying an oxidant gas and a fuel gas thereto, and a power generation step during shutdown for stopping fuel gas supply upon detection of a shutdown command of the fuel cell 20, making the fuel cell 20 generate power while supplying the oxidant gas thereto, and then stopping power generation. Deterioration of an electrolyte membrane/electrode structure 28 is minimized by operating a gas replacement device 15 at a predetermined timing after stopping power generation, and introducing a replacement gas to the anode side of the fuel cell 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
