<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image which is less susceptible to interference between individual colors and does not cause deterioration of graininess. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus sets glossiness of regions when an image to be formed is divided into a plurality of regions; creates, according to the setting, multi-value image data on a toner basis so that their glossiness after fixing are different from each other and the same color toner is not used in the same region; converts each of the multi-value image data of the different glossiness after fixing and the same color toner into binary image data by using threshold patterns having the same screen angle or a difference thereof of less than a predetermined first angle, and having the same number of screen lines or a difference thereof of less than a predetermined number of screen lines; and converts each of the multi-value image data of different color toners into binary image data by using threshold patterns having screen angles having a difference of more than a second angle that is larger than the first angle, and having the same number of screen lines or a difference thereof of less than the predetermined number of screen lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
