The device has a fuel pump (10) i.e. electrical low pressure pump, for supplying fuel to an internal combustion engine (11). A control and/or regulating unit (12) comprises a tilting function to control and/or regulate the fuel pump in dependent on roadway inclination. The control and/or regulating unit is communicatively connected with an inclination sensor (13) to detect an angular position of a motor car. The tilting function adjusts power of the fuel pump in dependent on inclination. The pump is fluidically connected to another fuel pump (16) i.e. low pressure pump, by a flow line (17).
