<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device and a cutter device for a rectangular plate-like object capable of preventing (or reducing) crack or chip of the rectangular plate-like object caused by abutment of a cutter on one end face of the rectangular plate-like object. <P>SOLUTION: This cutting device for a rectangular plate-like object has a constitution in which a cutter 12h positioned at a notched depth determined beforehand is allowed to abut on one end face of the rectangular plate-like object, and while moving the cutter toward the other end face on the opposite side, the surface of the rectangular plate-like object is flawed so as to have a start point for being cut and bent. The cutting device includes a cutter head body for supporting the cutter so as to be moved when a force in the vertical upper direction is applied to the cutter, a cutting pressure application means for pressing the cutter onto the surface of the rectangular plate-like object, and a detection means for detecting whether the cutter abuts on one end face of the rectangular plate-like object or not. When the detection means detects that the cutter abuts on one end face of the rectangular plate-like object, the cutting pressure application means presses the cutter onto the surface of the rectangular plate-like object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
