<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coming-off prevention mechanism of a tripod type constant velocity universal joint which exerts a coming-off prevention effect without requiring additional parts, additional work, and additional operation. <P>SOLUTION: In the tripod type constant velocity universal joint whose roller can swing to a trunnion journal and move in a shaft direction of the trunnion journal, a projection 128a projecting into a track groove 124 is provided in the vicinity of the housing large end face 122 of the track groove 124 and also on the inner diameter side of a housing 120, and a pair of notches 128b arranged opposite with a distance equal to or greater than the outer diameter of the roller 136 is provided in the vicinity of the housing large end face 122 of the track groove 124 and also on the outer diameter side of the housing 120. When the roller 136 is inserted from the housing large end face 122 to the track groove 124 at assembling, it is inserted at an angle αa to the shaft line of the housing 120 and the angle αa is set larger than a maximum angle αb where the roller 136 can swing to the trunnion journal 114. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
