The plant has a path mirror that is arranged at wall portion of housing. A shaft portion rotatable of a drive (4) is connected with the path mirror in the housing in normal direction. Brightness or color controllable light sources are arranged in the housing. A computer is connected with the controllable light sources through a control line for transfer of data. An angle sensor is assigned to the shaft portion. An electrical power is supplied to the drive over the supply conduit. An independent claim is included for method for operating solar thermal energy plant.
