The hydraulic binder, especially based on cement, should be of such a nature that the mortar or concrete to be prepared with it has an optimal, uniformly distributed air pore content to obtain adequate frost security. For this purpose, it contains spherical hollow particles having a greatest diameter below 0.1 mm. Such hollow particles are produced, for example, by coating small hollow beads with binder.
