<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state monitoring device which can properly monitor a field apparatus by smooth communication. <P>SOLUTION: A state monitoring device comprises a communication device arranged on a communication path connecting a plurality of pieces of field apparatus and a host apparatus. The communication device comprises: collection means for successively collecting apparatus information from the respective pieces of field apparatus by repeating communication with the respective pieces of filed apparatus; storage means for successively storing the apparatus information acquired by the collection means; and transfer means for, on receiving a request from the host apparatus, transferring the latest apparatus information stored in the storage means to the host apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
