To obtain a lighting device for a shelf plate that can effectively illuminate brightly, efficiently and uniformly in a desired specific direction without degrading the visual quality of products and can be suitably used in a multishelf show case provided with a plurality of shelves, lighting devices (1A-1G) constituted to emit light diffused at a prescribed angle in a prescribed directions are used. The light guide pathway from point shaped light sources (2) to the emission part is constituted of a first reflective surface (11) and a second reflective surface (12) sandwiching an air layer and facing each other. Shelf plate lighting devices (1AA-1HA) constituted such that luminous flux from adjacent light sources of the point shaped light sources (2) overlap each other at positions on the emission surfaces of cap members (3AA-3HA) are used, and these shelf plate lighting devices are attached to shelf plates (5), forming integral shelf plate units (50, 50A). A show case (SC) provided with a plurality of these shelf plate units is formed.
