<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain operation of a carbon dioxide separation and capture apparatus by satisfying required pressure thereof even when a steam turbine is under partial load operation. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal power plant includes a boiler 1 burning fossil fuel to generate steam, a steam turbine including a high-pressure turbine 3, an intermediate-pressure turbine 7 and a low-pressure turbine 10 which are driven by steam generated in the boiler 1, an absorber 24 absorbing carbon dioxide contained in a boiler exhaust gas discharged from the boiler 1 into an absorption liquid and capturing the carbon dioxide, a desorber 21 circulating the absorption liquid between the desorber 21 and the absorber 24 and separating carbon dioxide from the absorption liquid that has absorbed carbon dioxide, a steam system supplying steam taken out from the high-pressure turbine 3 and the intermediate-pressure turbine 7 to an absorption liquid heating device 18 of the desorber 21, and a steam supply source switching means provided in the steam system and switching steam supply source supplying steam to the absorption liquid heating device between the high-pressure turbine and the intermediate-pressure turbine so that steam pressure required by the absorption liquid heating device is satisfied when the steam turbine is under partial load operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
