<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite molded product in which metal and resin are bonded with a simple structure with a high degree of freedom of material, and provide a method of manufacturing the composite molded product. <P>SOLUTION: The composite molded product 1 includes a metal plate 2 having a thickness of 2 mm or less, and a resin layer 3 formed on one surface 2a of the metal plate 2. The metal plate 2 includes a recessed part 4 which recesses from the other surface 2b to the one surface 2a of the metal plate 2, and a through hole 5 which is formed on a bottom surface of the recessed part 4 and passes through between a bottom surface of the recessed part 4 and the one surface 2a. An area of the through hole 5 on the one surface is 0.2-100 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, and an area of the recessed part 4 on the other surface is 0.5-200 mm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. A projection amount h on the one surface side which corresponds to the recessed part 4 is more than one-fourth of the thickness of the metal plate 2, and is smaller than a thickness of the resin layer 3.
