<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which improves printing efficiency by eliminating level difference formed by an electrode on a protective film, to improve reliability and durability of the thermal head. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal head includes: a heating resistor 7 arranged on a support substrate 3; a pair of electrodes 8 which are arranged at a distance on the heating resistor 7 in a direction along a surface of the heating resistor 7, and have inclined surfaces 8C which are separated from each other as separating from the support substrate 3; a burial film 4 which buries a region between the pair of electrodes 8; and the protective film 9 which is formed on the region buried by the burial film 4 and the pair of electrodes 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
