The present invention relates to a high-efficiency lighting system for a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera in which a dimmer is efficiently driven to enable the CCTV camera to clearly distinguish an object and perform a monitoring function normally, thus enabling the object to be exposed to an appropriate amount of light at the time of imaging. A lighting system for a closed circuit television camera according to the present invention comprises a means for detecting an image sensor timing pulse, a dimming control unit, and a dimmer. The means for detecting an image sensor timing pulse detects, from a timing generator, a shutter speed from the start of an exposure of an image sensor to the end of the exposure of the image sensor. The dimming control unit controls the dimmer using the shutter speed from the start of the exposure of the image sensor to the end of the exposure of the image sensor. |
