<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head capable of ensuring a sufficient rigidity which is functionally bearable even when a thin plate is used as a nozzle cover member. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head 34 for discharging liquid has a nozzle plate 103 having nozzle holes formed in a nozzle surface 103a and a nozzle cover 200, which couples the nozzle plate to a frame member 117 of a liquid discharge head. The nozzle cover is formed like a form by coupling a first-side form-like end part 200a, which is opposed to two side ends mutually opposed among the peripheral parts of the nozzle plate, and a second-side form-like end part 200b, which is opposed to the other two side ends. A bending piece part p2 covering an edge surface of a nozzle surface of the nozzle plate is formed in the form-like end part 200a. In the second-side form-like end part, a lateral vertical plate part p5, which is disposed to be extended along a direction parallel to the nozzle surface 103a and retracted from the nozzle surface, and a linear bending part p7, which is juxtaposed over the entire area of the lateral vertical plate part and is bent toward the opposing frame member, are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
