The protection element comprises an U-shaped elongated mold portion (1) with pocket-like recess (4) for receiving the end of a connecting bar (7). The mold portion is provided with a main leg (2) and an auxiliary leg (3) which are spaced apart by a specific distance where the main leg is used as an abutment leg and the auxiliary leg is provided with a grip trough (5). The main leg is comprised of outer bending element (6) used as positioning aid.
