PURPOSE: A hydraulic composition is provided to obtain improved strength of hardening material by including optimal content of Portland cement, calcium aluminate, type II anhydrous gypsum and calcium hydroxide. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic composition is composed of Portland cement, calcium aluminate, type II anhydrous gypsum and calcium hydroxide. The hydraulic composition comprises 15-70 parts by weight of Portland cement, 15-60 parts by weight of calcium aluminate, 0.5-32 parts by eight of type II anhydrous gypsum, and 2-11 parts by weight of calcium hydroxide based on total 100 parts by weight sum of the Portland cement, calcium aluminate, type II anhydrous gypsum, and calcium hydroxide. The hydraulic composition additionally includes 5-55 parts by weight of calcium carbonate based on the 100 parts by weight sum of the Portland cement, calcium aluminate, type II anhydrous gypsum and calcium hydroxide. The calcium carbonate is in pulverized body phase having a specific surface area of 3500cm^2/g.
