<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect ethyl alcohol from the infrared image of a driver, which is picked up from the outside, to prevent driving under the influence of the alcohol. <P>SOLUTION: An influence-of-alcohol detection part 48 measures the concentration of ethyl alcohol dissolved in the blood of a driver to detect an alcohol-affected state on the basis of the infrared image of an object which is radiated or reflected from the driver of a vehicle approaching a gate device. A gate control part 52 makes the gate device perform an opening operation for prescribed passage processing to allow the passage of the vehicle possible, in case that the influence-of-alcohol detection part 48 does not detect the alcohol-affected state, and prohibits the gate device from performing the opening operation for passage processing to block the passage of the vehicle in case that the influence-of-alcohol detection part 48 detects the alcohol-affected state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
