A method for the determination and correction of zero point (zenith point) for devices that measure vertical angles includes pointing horizontal line of graticule of device brought to operation position to target and if needed correction of position of cylindrical level, horizontal line of the graticule of compensator, depending on design of the device. One brings into coincidence horizontal line of the graticule with the center of reflected own image of sight device (objective, horizontal line of the graticule) in installed in vertical direction flat mirror reflector that is placed at same height with the device under investigation in chosen direction of measurement, with carrying out correction, that for one installs construction-design reading of vertical circle depending on its design and location (0°00'00", 90°00'00", 180°00'00", 270°00'00"), this corresponds to horizontal position of sight axis and, if needed, one takes into account curvature of Earth. |
