PURPOSE: A multi-touch recognition method of a touch button on a touch screen, character input method, and object conversion method are provided to enable a user to input desired characters with a few touches. CONSTITUTION: A target button is recognized using a standard finger according to a target button recognition method. The target button is recognized using an opened touch point according to a target button recognition method. The target button is recognized using a target button recognition method including two or more touch points.
