RACK GUIDE FOR STEERING GEAR

PURPOSE: A rack guide is provided to support a rack housing and a rack bar, improve axial directional clearance by removing the clearance of assembling, and reduce rattle noise. CONSTITUTION: A rack guide comprises an outer ring(1), an inner ring(2), and a rib(3). The outer ring is supported by the inner surface of the rack housing and comprises a projected portion(12) along the outer periphery of the outer ring. The projected portion is contacted with the mounting groove(121) of a rack housing. The diameter of the inner ring is smaller than that of the outer ring. The inner ring encloses a rack bar installed in a rack housing. The rib connects the outer ring and the inner ring.
