PURPOSE: A composition containing Lindera plant extract is provided to control ocular tension without side effect. CONSTITUTION: A composition for reducing ocular tension contains 0.1-50 wt% of Lindera plant extract as an active ingredient. The composition is used for preventing or treating glaucoma. The extract is prepared using water, alcohol, or a mixture thereof. The alcohol is C1-C4 alcohol. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition. Lindera includes Lindera erythrocarpa, Lindera obtusiloba, Lindera sericea, and Lindera glauca.
