<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unexpected operation of a USB device in which a class different from the class to which the USB device belongs originally is set. <P>SOLUTION: When a USB device is connected, an information processing unit assigns a generic class driver to the USB device after acquiring a descriptor, and thereafter determines whether or not the USB device retains a class driver of the class acquired from the descriptor. When it is determined that the USB device retains this class driver, it is determined whether or not the USB device is a device to which the class driver of the class acquired from the descriptor is permitted to be assigned. When it is determined that this assignment is not permitted, it is determined whether or not the class driver of the class acquired from the descriptor is to be assigned to the USB device on the basis of selection by a user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
