<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a broadcast receiver, and an information processing method which enables acquisition of suitable program information. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus according to the embodiment is provided with acquisition means, reception means, extraction means, and display means. The acquisition means acquires first program information relating to plural programs, from a first external device connected via a network. The reception means receives the channel identifier of a first program, from a second external device. The extraction means extracts second program information of the first program corresponding to a channel and a predetermined time indicated by the channel identifier received by the reception means, from first program information acquired by the acquisition means.
