PURPOSE: An environment-friendly seaweed paint composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize generation of harmful volatile organic compounds and to have excellent therapeutic effects of natural seaweed. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly seaweed paint composition comprises a base binder, water, inorganic pigment, mineral antifoaming agent, inorganic dispersant, tackifier, inorganic sterilizer, freezing stabilizer, a film-formable aid, and a preservative. The base binder consists of 5-35 wt% of sodium alginate solution, 20-70 wt% of synthetic resin binder, 20-40 wt% of seaweed extract, 0.2-2.0 wt% of sodium hyposulfite(Na2S2O4) as a bleaching agent, 0.4-3.0 wt% of methylparaben(C8H8O3) as a preservative, and 0.3-2.0 parts by weight of mineral-based antifoaming agent(CPA-1000).
