<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cavity resonator capable of improvement in dispersion compensation or alignment. <P>SOLUTION: A cavity resonator 10 includes a first prism 110, a second prism 120, and a plane plate 150. A principal surface 111 of the first prism 110 and a principal surface 121 of the second prism 120 are approximately parallel.
