<p>The proposed device relates to sports equipment and, more precisely, to ski bindings for speed skating on skis and roller skis. The aim of the invention is to increase the elastic properties of a system consisting of a ski together with a ski binding, while simplifying the design and manufacture of the ski. This aim is achieved in that the binding lock which secures the front part of the boot is mounted on an elastically deformable plate having an upwardly convex elastic curve, wherein, in a non-loaded state, the plate is pushed up from the ski by its own elasticity, the height of the elastic curve being restricted by a stop, and when the plate is elastically deformed, it is able to move along a horizontal axis in roller guides mounted on the rear end of the ski which also serve as a restraint for the stop situated on the rear end of the elastic plate. The ski and boot binding assembly can also be characterized in that the binding lock which secures the front part of the boot is mounted on a hard intermediate plate pushed up from the ski by an elastic member, and the angle of rotation of the intermediate plate is restricted by a stop. Therefore, in both embodiments, the rigidity of the oscillatory system consisting of a skier on skis equipped with an intermediate plate that is spring-loaded relative to the ski, is increased primarily as a result of an increase in the rigidity of the additional elastic member. This makes it possible to simplify the design and manufacture of the ski, rendering the ski almost flat, i.e. without an arch, which also makes it possible to significantly reduce recoil when skiing in the classic style.</p> |
