<p>Provided is a vehicle seat capable of preventing acceleration in tilt speed of a seat back when the seat back tilts forward. A rear seat (10), as illustrated in figure 1, wherein if a lock-release lever (40) of a reclining mechanism is operated by an occupant while a seat back (14) is placed in a usage position, and a sector gear (60) of a return mechanism (58) is placed in a standby position, then a seat back (14) lock provided by a locking mechanism is released. As a result, the seat back (14) begins to tilt towards a forward tilted position due to the pressing force of a spiral spring; however, during this time a control circuit of the return mechanism (58) brings a protruding part (54) of the seat back (14) into contact with a contact part (84) of the sector gear (60), and while doing so rotates the sector gear (60) to a return preparation position. As a result, the seat back (14) slowly tilts at a speed corresponding to the rotation speed of the sector gear (60).</p> |
