<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that provides image parts in desired forms, a method of controlling an image processing device, and a program for controlling an image processing device. <P>SOLUTION: A MFP (Multi Function Peripheral) includes: an image reading unit 35 that reads images on a document; a part creation unit 53 that specifies an area surrounded by a closed loop included in the image read by the image reading unit 35; hierarchy determination unit 55 that determines the hierarchy of a plurality of parts included in the area specified by the part creation unit 53; and a part correction unit 57 that corrects the shape of the parts that are determined as low-ranking parts by the hierarchy determination unit 55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
