<p>Provided is a product authentication system and product authentication method that can be configured at low cost using an electronic technique and that can prevent leakage and counterfeiting of information in various stages for industrial products and food products. The product authentication method increases the genuineness of an identification information display body, and is capable of preventing counterfeiting of a product at a high level at various stages, using the identification information display body affixed to the product, a mobile information terminal for reading the identification information display body and for displaying authentication results, and an authentication server having a PKI-standard authentication station function.</p> |
