<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of recovery failure of reversely charged toner particles. <P>SOLUTION: After a toner thin layer is formed by regulating the thickness of a toner layer on a surface of a toner carrier 134Y by a regulating member 136Y, reversely charged toner particles included in the toner thin layer are recovered to a surface of a reversely charged toner recovering member 138Y in a reversely charged toner recovery nip. The toner thin layer after the recovering process is made to contribute to development in a developing nip formed by the contact between a photoreceptor 11Y and the toner carrier 134Y. In this configuration, a recovery member nip pass time T1 [s], which is a time period when the surface of the reversely charged toner recovery member 138Y, by the rotation thereof, passes through the reversely charged toner recovery nip, is controlled to be longer than 0.02 [s]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
