The stapling mechanism (1) has the fasteners (2a,2b) operatively coupled to stamping elements (32b). The stamping elements are pushed by elastic elements (30a,30b) into rest position in which the stamping elements is spaced to complementary punch element (34b). The stamping elements are pushed by the fastener or the fastener actuator (8) into the punching position in which stamping elements cooperate with complementary punch elements to punch a hole in a sheet.
