PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for analyzing turbomachinery.

SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the system for analyzing turbomachinery 48 is provided. The system includes an intelligent turbomachinery tracking filter (ITTF) system 44 configured to determine one or more performance shifts for one or more components of the turbomachinery 48 based on a plurality of turbomachinery 48 parameters. The system further includes a root cause analyzer 46 configured to determine a root cause of the turbomachinery 48 performance based on the one or more performance shifts.
