PURPOSE: A ball stud fastener manufacturing method is provided to improve the surface hardness and abrasion resistance of a head of a ball stud fastener by forming a stellite 12 alloy growth layer on the surface of the head. CONSTITUTION: A ball stud fastener manufacturing method comprises the steps of: cutting a rod type material, cold forging the cut material into a ball stud fastener shape, quenching and tempering the forged material, forming a stellite 12 alloy growth layer on a head(10) of the material using plasma transferred arc, cutting the material, and grinding the head of the material and cutting threads(26) on the tail part of a body(20). |
