PURPOSE: A study-abroad expense payment system using a credit card and a method thereof are provided to enable a client to pay for a study-abroad expense by personally making a request for payment to a card company as the card company performs a role of a member store. CONSTITUTION: An agent server(120) receives a payment request for credit card information and the amount of a study-abroad expense from client terminal(110). A card account system(130) receives the payment request for the credit card information and the amount of the study-abroad expense from the agent server. If the amount of the study-abroad expense is within a usage limit of a credit card corresponding to the credit card information, the card account system transfers approval processing to the agent server. A bank account system(140) transfers the amount of the study-abroad expense to an account number of an overseas school.
