<p>PURPOSE: A machine and a method for grinding optical glasses are provided to grind the outer surface of the circumference if the scoring or reverse beveling of the surface is all completed, thereby being not necessary to return to a set of wheels containing a finishing wheel. CONSTITUTION: A machine for grinding optical glasses(11) comprises a base frame, a lens supporting unit(19), and a tool holder set(21). A rotary shaft(39) of the tool holder set supports two or more tools(49,51) and a spacer(50). The two or more tools are separated each other along a second axis(C-C') and is for machining a lens. The spacer is located in the middle between the two mechanical machining tools, and forms the outer surface for machining the lens. The spacer is extended between a first shaft end placed on one of the two tools and a second shaft end placed on the other tool in one direction.</p> |
