PURPOSE: A depth measuring device using a rear convex mirror and a device thereof are provided to inexpensively and accurately calculate a depth value about an image without space limits. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(210) receives camera images. The camera images include images on which the shapes of one side and the other side of a subject are reflected through a convex mirror. A matching unit(220) obtains a second silhouette corresponding to the shape of one side of the subject by a first silhouette corresponding to the shape of the other side of the subject. A calculation unit(230) calculates a depth value for the subject by comparing the size of the first silhouette with the size of the second silhouette.
