A riser pipe (10) of fire hydrant (1) is closed at top with removable lid (11). An attachment (23) of docking pod is mounted on the chip components (21,22). A closure structure of main valve is moved to open position and assembly of docking pod, spindle bearing (102), spindle (103), nut (104) and valve stem (105) is removed from riser pipe. The re-insertion of assembly of docking pod, spindle bearing, spindle, nut, valve stem and closing structure is performed in riser pipe until the water pressure is reached by docking apparatus and lock flush pipe of comprehensive safety kit. An independent claim is included for device for performing inspection and/or adjustment work on underground fire hydrant.
