PURPOSE: A female terminal is provided to prevent a male terminal from colliding with an elastic piece, thereby smoothly inserting the male terminal. CONSTITUTION: One end of an upper surface of a body(10) is bent downward in a direction opposite to a moving direction of a male terminal(20). An elastic piece(18) is located in a lower portion of a reinforcing piece(17). One end of the elastic piece is fixed to the upper surface of the body. The other end of the elastic piece is bent downward in the direction opposite to the moving direction of the male terminal. A bending portion(13) and a non bending portion are formed on a frontal upper side of the body. A coupling unit(15) is formed on a frontal side of the body.
