PURPOSE: A buffing apparatus for buffing an inner peripheral surface of a large-diameter steel pipe is provided to minimize roughness difference because all sides of a buffing belt are evenly contacted to the inner diameter of a large-diameter steel pipe. CONSTITUTION: A buffing apparatus for buffing an inner peripheral surface of a large-diameter steel pipe comprises first and second moving trolleys(210,220), a boom(130), a buffing head, and a buffing belt. The first and second moving trolleys are separated at a predetermined interval according to the length of a large-diameter steel pipe(10) and move the large-diameter steel pipe to a vertical support plate(110). The boom and the buffing head are inserted in the inner circumference of the large-diameter steel pipe and the buffing belt buffs the inner circumference of the large-diameter steel pipe. While the first and second moving trolleys rotate the large-diameter steel pipe in place, a buffed part of the large-diameter steel pipe is changed and the boom gradually moves into the large-diameter steel pipe, thereby buffing all the part of the inner circumference of the large-diameter steel pipe.
