<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupler that has satisfactory contactless transmission characteristics over a wide band by using a coil and a polar plate formed on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A high frequency coupler 10 includes a spiral-shaped coil section 30, a polar plate section 40 formed inside the coil shape, and a feed section 32. They are formed by integral patterning of a conductor on one surface (obverse surface) of a substrate 12.
