The charging of a secondary cell is efficiently controlled. A charging control device (1) for controlling a state of charge of a vehicle-mounted secondary cell using a regulator provided to an alternator, wherein the charging control device comprises: a calculating means (controller (10)) for calculating the state of charge (SOC) of a secondary cell (lead storage cell (14)); a determining means (controller (10)) for determining whether or not the SOC calculated by the calculating means is greater than a predetermined threshold; and a controlling means (control circuit (15)) for controlling the regulator so that the voltage generated by the alternator is low when the determining means has determined the SOC to be higher than the predetermined threshold, and for controlling the regulator so that the voltage generated by the alternator is high when the SOC is determined to be lower than the predetermined threshold. |
